"For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless." Psalm 84:11
What does it really mean to be a blameless person before the almighty God?
Being blameless before God by far does not mean that we are perfect. Nobody is perfect. No human being is perfect. Being blameless before God means that we trust God totally and fully. It means that we are eager and willing to make things right when we sin and fail. It means that we are willing to humble ourselves constantly before the throne of God. "... Blessed is the man who trusts in You" said the psalmist in Psalm 84:12.
The Scriptures tell us that God has a purpose and a plan for the people who trust in Him. He promises to be their shield, to bestow honor on them. He will not withhold any blessing or good thing from them. Now that is promise that we can rest on. It is a big deal to be viewed by God as blameless person before Him.
